ASSOCIATION & SOCIETIES:

DAY SCHOLARS' ASSOCIATION

The objective of the association is to foster through the cultural activities, the spirite of fellowship, co-operation and discipline amongst all the Day Scholars of the College. All the Day Scholars of the College will be members of the association by paying a fee of Rs. 10/- annually. The Vice-President of the Day Scholars Association will be nominated by the Principal from among the members of the teaching staff. Any Day Scholar of +3 Degree can contest for the post of Secretary and any Day Scholar other than final degree can contest for the post of Assistant Secretary. There shall be an Executive Committee for the Association consisting of :

1. Principal - Ex-Officio President.

2. Vice-President and Associate Vice-President.

3. Secretary

4. Assistant Secretary.

5. One class representative from each class to be elected by Day scholars from among themselves.

The Secretary with the approval of the President shall organise all functions of the Association and shall be in-charge of minutes and correspondence.

ODIA SAHITYA SAMAJ

The object of the Association is to promote the Odia language and literature through different activities among the students of the College. All the students of the College will be members of the Samaj by paying a fee of Rs. 10/- annually. The Principal of the College will act as the President of Odia Sahitya Samaj. The Head of the department of Odia will act as the Vice-President of Odia Sahitya Samaj. The +3 III Yr. Odia honours student securing highest marks in last examination will act as secretary of Odia Sahitya Samaj and the honours student of +3 II nd Yr. Odia honours who secured highest marks in last examination will act as Assistant secretary of the Sahitya Samaj.Associate Vice-President of Odia Sahitya samaj will be nominated by the Principal among the members of teaching staff. There shall be an executive committee for Odia Sahitya Samaj:

1. Principal - Ex-Officio President.

2. Vice-President

3. Associate Vice-President

4. Secretary

5. Assistant Secretary

Every year the sahitya Samaj will publish annual journal named "Satabali", Vice-President of Odia Sahitya Samaj will act as the editor of this Journal. every year the Samaj will felicitate with "Chitrotpola Samman" an Odia contemporary writer, who has a remarkable contribution to Odia language & literature.Annual competition will be held among the students to enhance their creative ability such as Essay, Shot-story, Poem, etc.

THE ATHLETIC CLUB

The club shall consist of all the members of the staff and students. The Executive Committee of the Athletic Club consist of the following members:

1.The Principal as Ex-Officio President.

2. Vice-President is nominated by the Principal from among the members of the staff.

3. Some other members of the staff nominated by the Principal as the lecturers in charge of Football, Kabadi, Volley Ball and Cricket.

4. The Physical Education Teacher.

5. The Secretary to be elected by the students among any student of +3 wing.

6. The Assistant Secretary from among the First year/ second year of +3 students.

7. Captains of Football, Cricket and Volley Ball and such other organised outdoor games as might exist in the College.

8. One class representative from each class.

THE SCIENCE SOCIETY

All students of Science stream in the College and those connected with the teaching of science shall be the member of the Society.

Functions:

The aim of the Society is to spread scientific knowledge by means of popular lectures, discussions and debates and science exhibitions, arrangement of seminar speech, science quiz and group discussions.

Management:

There shall be an Executive Committee which shall consist of:

1.Ex-Officio President – Principal

2. Vice-President and associate Vice-Presidents shall be nominated from the staff in the science stream of the College.

3. Secretary and Assistant Secretary are to be elected by the student members.

4. One class representative to be elected from each class to manage the affairs of the Science Society.

THE COMMERCE SOCIETY

All students of Commerce stream in the College and those connected with the teaching of commerce shall be the members of the Society.

Functions:

The aim of the society is to spread knowledge by means of popular lectures and discussions arranged under the auspices of the Society.

Management:

There shall be an Executive Committee, which shall consist of:

1.Ex-Officio President – Principal

2. Vice-President nominated by the Principal from among the teaching staff in the commerce stream of the College.

3. Secretary from any student of degree class and the Assistant Secretary from Part-I or Part-II degree to be elected by the students of Commerce degree class.

4. One class representative to be elected from each class to manage the affairs of the Society.

THE EDUCATION SOCIETY

All students of Education and those connected with the teaching of Education shall be the members of the society.

Functions:

The aim of the Society shall be as follows:

1.To discuss from time on the modern trends in education.

2. To prepare papers on significant development in educational practices in any of the states of India.

3. To hold symposia on the burning problems of education in India.

4. To invite eminent educationist to deliver lectures followed by questions and answers.

5. To organise literary camps in neighbouring villages for the illiterate and to present the reports of the previous adults.

6. To bring out a bulletin of the Society to highlight the discussion made in various meetings of the society.

Management:

There shall be an Executive Committee which shall consist of:

a.Ex-Officio President – Principal

b. Vice-President as nominated by the Principal from among the teaching staff of the Department of education.

c. Three class representatives shall be elected of which one should be a lady if available.

d. Secretary and Assistant Secretary are to be elected by the class representatives.

HUMANITIES SOCIETY

All students of Arts stream in the College and those connected with the teaching of Arts stream shall be the members of the Society.

Functions:

The aim of the Society is to spread knowledge by means of popular lectures and symposia and discussions arranged under the auspices of the Society.

Management:

There shall be an executive committee, which shall consist of:

1.Ex-Officio President – Principal

2. Vice-President nominated by the principal from among the teaching staff in the Arts stream of the College.

3. Secretary and Assistant Secretary from degree class to be elected by the students.

4. One class representative to be elected from each class, to manage the affairs of the Humanities Society.
